Average OnlyFans income in 2026: what the company accounts say, and how much OnlyFans takes

"Average OnlyFans income" is one of the most searched questions about the platform, and most answers are a single eye-catching number with no source. I'd rather show the working. Below I use two kinds of public source: the OnlyFans Terms of Service, read on 21 October 2026, for the fee rules, and the published readings of the latest accounts of Fenix International Ltd, the UK company that owns OnlyFans, for the money. The full table with every source is on our FY2025 numbers page.

This is a plain reading of public documents, not financial or tax advice.

Short answer

1. Where the $1,243 figure comes from

Here are the figures for the financial year ended 30 November 2025, as published in secondary readings of the filing (details and links on the FY2025 page):

FigureAmount
Gross fan paymentsabout $7.84 billion (up from $7.22 billion)
Paid to creatorsabout $6.29 billion
Platform net revenueabout $1.55 billion
Creator accountsabout 5.06 million

The division is simple: $6.29 billion / 5.06 million accounts = about $1,243 per account per year, or about $104 per month.

A quick sanity check: 80% of $7.84 billion is about $6.27 billion, which is close to the $6.29 billion paid to creators. So the published 80/20 split lines up with the totals.

The original filings are listed on Companies House. The profit and dividend figures were reported by the BBC. The revenue split and account count come from OnlyFans Statistics' reading of the filing.

2. Why the average misleads

Accounts, not people. "Creator accounts" counts every account set up to post content. Some people run more than one, and many accounts are set up and then barely used. Dividing by accounts gives a per-account figure, not a per-person one.

A mean, not a median. If one creator earns $1 million a year and nine earn nothing, the mean is $100,000 and the median is $0. A handful of very large earners can lift a mean a long way, and the accounts don't publish how earnings are spread across creators. So treat $104 a month as an upper-ish reference point for an "ordinary" account, not as an expectation.

Free pages count too. In our own snapshot of 5,643 public creator pages (20 October 2026), 34.3% (1,934 pages) charge $0 for a subscription and earn only through tips and paid messages. See our free OnlyFans pages.

Subscriptions are the smaller part of the money. In the same secondary reading, subscriptions were about $422 million of the platform's own revenue and pay-per-view, tips and messages about $1.13 billion. Most creator income comes from what happens after someone subscribes, not from the subscription price.

3. How much OnlyFans takes from creators

The terms are short on this. The fee is "20% of the total Fan Payment", deducted from each payment, which covers subscriptions, tips and paid content. A few other rules from the same section affect what a creator actually receives:

Fans also pay sales tax on top of the listed price where it applies. That's added to the fan's bill and isn't part of the creator's 80%.

4. What a typical price actually keeps

In our snapshot, the median paid subscription is $10 a month, and the middle half of paid pages charge between $8 and $15. Only 5.6% charge $30 or more. At those prices, subscription income alone is modest:

Monthly priceCreator keeps per subscriber (80%)Subscribers needed for $1,000/month
$5$4.00250
$10 (median)$8.00125
$15$12.00about 84
$30$24.00about 42

These are subscription-only figures before currency fees and tax. They ignore tips and paid messages, which, going by the platform-wide split above, are where most of the money is. If you want to test your own numbers, our earnings estimator applies the 20% fee to subscribers, tips and pay-per-view.

5. If you're a fan reading this

The 80/20 split means about $8 of a $10 subscription reaches the creator. Tips and paid messages split the same way. If you want to know what a year of subscriptions really costs you, try the year-cost calculator, and see where prices sit across niches on our price stats.

FAQ

What is the average OnlyFans income? About $1,243 per creator account per year (about $104 a month) for the year ended 30 November 2025: roughly $6.29 billion paid to creators across about 5.06 million accounts. It's a mean over accounts, so most creators earn less than that.

How much does OnlyFans take from creators? 20% of each fan payment, according to the Terms of Service. The creator keeps 80% before their own bank fees and taxes.

Does the 20% apply to tips and paid messages too? Yes. The terms apply the fee to the "total Fan Payment", and fan payments include subscriptions, pay-per-view and other payments to a creator.

Is there a minimum payout on OnlyFans? Yes. The terms say your balance must meet the minimum payout amount before you can withdraw, but they don't state the figure on the terms page.

Do OnlyFans creators have to pay tax? Yes. The terms say creators are responsible for their own tax, must report their OnlyFans income to their tax authority, and can have payouts restricted if they become tax non-compliant. How much you owe depends on where you live, so check with a local tax adviser.

What's the median OnlyFans income? It isn't published. The company accounts give totals, not a distribution, so any "median income" number you see online is an estimate from somewhere else.
